Ceremony fee: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
regulates the fees a Justice of the Peace may charge for
services. In strict adherence with those guidelines, my
fee for officiating at a wedding ceremony, renewal of vows
ceremony, or civil union ceremony is $150.00. For any ceremony
that takes place in my home town of Gloucester, the fee
is $100.00. A fifty (50%) percent non-refundable deposit
is required to secure the date, with the balance due and
payable on the day of the wedding.
On your wedding day, I will organize the members of the wedding
party for the processional and recessional, direct special
guests, including the readers, to their assigned seats, cue
the musicians to begin the processional and recessional music,
and offer assistance to the photographer and videographer,
if needed.
Pre-nuptial
conference: The prenuptial conference provides
an opportunity to introduce myself to you. The main objective,
however, is to get to know you in an effort to create a
highly customized ceremony that reflects your personality
and style. You may select one of my ceremonies, or choose
to write your own. There is no additional charge for assisting
you with the writing of your ceremony and vows. The conference
also allows us to begin planning and discussing the details
of your ceremony, including musical selections for the
processional and recessional, readings, and, if desired,
the incorporation of special traditions such as sand ceremonies,
unity candles, hand fastening ceremonies, and breaking
of the glass. There is no fee for this conference.
Rehearsal
fee: We will perform a dry run of the ceremony
including the processional, recessional and readings. My
fee for a wedding rehearsal is $150.00 or, if in Gloucester,
$100.00.
Extra
costs: I do not charge travel fees. However, parking
fees, if applicable at your ceremony site, are extra. In
addition, there is no limit on the number of phone calls
or emails.
